Position Summary

As a Maintenance Field Supervisor in the Commercial Maintenance division, you will assist the Account Manager in managing crews. Duties include setting routes, safety training and investigation, care and security of equipment, train employees and new hires, and supporting company policies and procedures. To thrive in this position, you’ll need 3+ years of landscape maintenance field experience as a Foreman or above, supervisory experience and have a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • General industry knowledge, including but not limited to commercial landscape maintenance, irrigation systems and plant health.
  • Competent in irrigation trouble shooting and repairs
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office applications, CRM and other relevant computer programs.
  • State of Oregon Pesticide Applicator’s License or able to secure in 2 years

Education and Experience

Required

  • 3 years field experience in landscape maintenance in Foreman or above position
  • Supervisory experience

Preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent o Bilingual in Spanish/English

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company guidelines for driver eligibility.

Duties

Responsible to assist the Account Manager for the production of maintenance crews in the field to help ensure:

  1. Quality workmanship and service to our clients and their sites o Production rates with goal for continual improvement
  2. Safe practices
  3. Image of crews, trucks and equipment
  4. Achieve or exceed job specific budget and margin goals in cooperation with Account Mangers and Branch Manager by the coordination of labor, materials and equipment
  5. Work with Account Manager for efficient routing of sites
  6. Role model and mentor field personnel in cooperation with Account Managers
  7. Lead daily stretching
  8. Supervises efficient loading in morning, unloading in evenings, time card promptness and accuracy.
  9. Weekly safety training and incident review
  10. Responsible for proper care, security and professional image of truck, trailers, equipment and hand tools, both at the shop and on the job site.
  11. Participate and ensure regular career development of crew members
  12. Active in maintenance training programs
  13. Train crews to recognize opportunities for enhancements
  14. Participation in new hire orientation and training and possible participation with hiring process
  15. Assist in the field as needed, including chemical applications, irrigation repairs and any other tasks or urgent needs
  16. Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems. 14.Understand year round annual color planting maintenance requirements to either perform oneself or training of others
  17. Scheduling of snow and ice plow, graveler and pre-treatments, both equipment and operators
  18. Looks for opportunity to improve processes

  20. Must maintain a state driver’s license and meet company guidelines for driver eligibility
  21. Works safely
  22. Understand and comply with all company policies
  23. Regular attendance and punctual for scheduled shift
