Summary

As an Account Manager in our Commercial Maintenance division you will manage a portfolio of contracts, serving as the primary contact between Dennis’ 7 Dees and our clients.  You will provide solutions and enhancements to their landscapes, while building an outstanding production team to provide high quality service in an efficient and safe manner.  To excel in this position you’ll need a high school diploma, 3 years of field experience in landscape maintenance at the Foreman level or above and have an Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of industry basics, such as but not exclusively, landscape maintenance and renovation, irrigation systems, blueprints and equipment utilization.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial management and basic accounting principles
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with strong, diverse personalities
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office applications, CRM programs and other relevant computer programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well with numbers
  • Proven skills in probing and listening carefully and presenting information clearly in an appropriate style
  • Proficient in sales presentations – written and verbal
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a standard industry certification within 1 year.

 

Education and Experience

 Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years field experience in landscape maintenance at Foreman or above position
  • State of Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator license
  • Experience as a Foreman working for high profile clients
  • Supervisory training and experience

  Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company guidelines for driver eligibility.

 

Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance contracts
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients and provide assistance to clients for any potential and existing problems.
  • Provide regular proactive recommendations to identify problems, provide solutions and enhance the clients property.
  • Meet with clients at predetermined frequency
  • Perform quality control audits of sites at predetermined frequency
  • Direct and coordinate staff for management of contracted projects, ensuring proper staffing while maintaining profitability for the company.
  • Ensure safety on every project by enforcing safety training and meetings, as well as consistently monitor job sites for potential safety hazards.
  • Monitor daily and weekly budget goals, labor cost analysis for each project and make appropriate changes to meet budget and cost guidelines.
  • Work with Branch Manager to assist with basic accounting, as well as but not limited to, calling on past due accounts, billing and maintain proper credit and paying guidelines with clients and vendors.
  • Maintain copies of all contracts, as well as a thorough understanding of each contract, to ensure quality standards exceed client expectations and specifications set out within each contract.
  • Communicate with crews and production supervisors to ensure all projects are administered and completed within guidelines, budgets, and work hours and in the case of changes and additional work, that work is communicated to the client and extra billing is completed.
  • Assist in hiring, reviewing, maintaining and fostering growth within the work force to increase quality production and profitability of the division.
  • Work with Branch Manager to ensure efficient use of labor, equipment and materials.
  • Exceed production goals by effectively managing labor, equipment and labor
  • Oversee subcontractors hired by company to maintain or enhance a property
  • Responsible to produce and present yearly landscape budgets for clients, including renewal of contracts.
  • Oversee service recovery when necessary
  • Target, estimate, present and sell new contracts to existing property managers or neighboring properties.
  • Must maintain a state driver’s license and meet company guidelines for driver eligibility
  • Adhere to uniform and PPE guidelines
